Our Beliefs

At Life Tabernacle, we believe in an eternal God who is infinite in power and holy in nature. We believe that God sent forth his only son, Jesus Christ, for our redemption through his crucifixion and resurrection.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God, infallible in its original writings.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, infalible in its original writings.  II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:21 .
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin.  In the fullness of time, God sent forth His  Son made of woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law.  Gal. 4:4-5.  In Him dwelleth all of the fullness of the Godhead bodily.  Col. 2:9.  That no man can come unto the Father but by and through the Lord Jesus Christ, and His shed blood.  That the Son of God is the only hope for the world.  The man Jesus Christ is mediator between God and man.  I Tim. 2:15.   There is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Acts 4:12.
We believe the one eternal God, infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes, and purpose; in His absolute, indivisible deity.  That this one true God has revealed Himself as Father, in creation; as Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit by regeneration.  I Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; Joel 2:28; II Cor. 5:19.
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers, obtained by obedience (Acts 3:38-39; 5:31-32), by asking (Luke 11:13), evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, as a distinct,  separate , and subsequent experience to conversions; also that it is the standard of the normal Christian experience since Pentecost.
We believe that all followers of Christ should partake of Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, in remembrance of His death until He comes again.  Luke 22:19-20; Mat. 26:26-28; I Cor. 11:23-34.  Practiced regularly in this congregation as deemed necessary.
We believe the nine gifts of the Spirit should be manifested in the church today, and that all Spirit-filled believers should earnestly covet the best gifts for the edification and up-building of the church.  I Cor. 12:8-11; 14:1.  These gifts must be exercised according to the Word of God.  I Cor. 13.
We believe that Jesus is coming again in person just as He went away.  This was clearly set forth by the Lord Jesus Himself, and was preached and taught in the early Christian church by the Apostles.  Hence the children of God today are looking forward to the glorious event.  Matt. 24; Acts 1:11; 3:19-21; I Cor. 11:26; Phil. 3:20; I Thess. 4:14-17.  We believe there shall be a great tribulation which shall be followed by a better day on earth, and that for a thousand years there shall be peace on earth, good will toward men.  Isa. 65:17-25; Dan. 7:27; Heb. 2:14; Rev. 20:1-5; Rom. 11:25-27.
We believe in aggressive missions, world-wide, with the establishing of local sovereign churches.  Matt. 24:14; Mark 16:15.

We believe in repentance to God; confessing ourselves as sinners, receiving forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ in His blood atonement for sinners witnessed by a definite change from sin to righteousness in making right, as far as possible, of wrongs committed.  Acts 17:30; 11:18: 2:38-39
We believe that water baptism (immersion) is for believers and should be administered in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:38; 10:48; 19:5), thus fulfilling Mat. 28:19.
We believe our redemption has been accomplished solely by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ who was made sin for us, dying in our form and stead, rising again from the dead, ascending on high, and by believing in this finished work, we are justified before God, cleansed of all our sins and redeemed from the curse of the law.  John 3:3; Rom. 5:1, Acts 13:29; II Cor. 5:14-21; Gal. 2:16; 3:13; I Pet. 1:18-19; Titus 2:14; Rev. 5:9.
We believe healing is in the atonement, that God is still the Healer of His people, and that the church should recognize and practice this ministry, as directed by the Lord Himself, and practiced by His Apostles, EX. 15:26; Isa. 53:5; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15; Heb. 13:8.
We believe tithing is God’s financial plan to provide for His work, and has been since the days of Abraham.  Tithing came with faith under Abraham; Moses’ law enjoined it, and Israel practiced it when she was right with God; Jesus endorsed it (Matt. 23:23), and Paul said to lay by in store as God as prospered you.  Do not rob God of His portion of tithes and offerings.  (Malachi 3).
We believe the Spirit-filled believers will produce the fruit of the Spirit in their lives and their walk will be according to godliness and holy living.  Gal. 5:22-23; I John 2:6; I Pet. 1:16; Titus 2:11-13; II Cor. 7:1.
Finally, we believe that all regenerated believers are one in Christ, making up His body irrespective of denomination or organization.  This living organism is the Church, of which we believe we are part, and therefore we believe and teach that all should strive for the unity of the Spirit until we come to the unity of the faith.  Eph. 1:22-23; 2:19-22; 4:5-6; 11-16; Col. 1:18.

Loving God. Loving People.
